This is quite an experience and I am happy to be documenting it here ~ the process of the "beginning stages" of taking the leap and selling my jewelry. Trying to overcome many obstacles, most of them put in the way by yours truly! ;) I don't know if other jewelry designers experience these same fears - lack of confidence about opening up and showing (+ trying to sell) what comes from our hearts - to be loved or (gasp!) rejected. I do struggle with it. It's a very personal, emotional craft for me. I *may* have the opportunity soon to sell my jewelry at this very cute, hip little local salon. The owner liked the few pieces that I brought in, and has no preconceived ideas about my display at all, only saying that it should reflect my style. That almost stopped me in my tracks as jewelry displays online tend to be so very basic and boring...functional...but boring. I found something amazing on Etsy for a display. Ordered it today. What do you think?

Mini-Graphic Design Portfolio
Hello! Well, this is my first post here & thought I would take this opportunity to share a few of my most recent (graphic) designs.
A little about me: I'm an employed Graphic Designer who has decided to branch out & give the freelancing world a try. Creativity is my life, therefore I enjoy graphic design and jewelry artistry, as well, for the sake of the creative process and a beautiful and unique final product that fulfills exactly what my client envisioned. I am an easy-going and casual artistic personality, which I think is sometimes a bit rare in this field.
I have worked in Graphic Design for 9 years and I'm available for projects big and small. My design proficiency is in concept and layout of brochures, posters, business cards, stationary, print ads, some logo work, and photo manipulation. Having worked in commercial printing, I have a better than average understanding of file prep/prepress and work well with a variety of vendors.
If you're interested in discussing your design needs, please send me an email at forestlilydesigns@gmail.com. Thank you for stopping by!
